Splitboarding.Splitboarding является относительно новым видом зимней спортивной деятельности, но приобретает все большую популярность среди лыжников и сноубордистов. Итак, сплитборд - это обычный сноуборд, распиленный пополам. Он собирается и разбирается буквально за несколько минут посредством нехитрых застежек, напоминающих шпингалеты. В настоящее время сплитборд очень популярен в мире. Главная причина в привлекательности этой доски заключается в ее двойном назначении. Т.е. при желании можно совершать подъем вверх посредством лыж, а при спуске с горы уже непосредственно при помощи переделанного сноуборда. Сноубординг - сложный вид спорта. И поэтому в целях безопасности начинающим райдерам лучше всего начать пользоваться сплитбордами. Катание на таких лыжах безусловно требует максимальной концентрации и координации. Сохраняя позицию в вертикальном положении, и смотря прямо перед собой, для плавного и ровного скольжения нужно использовать пятки ног, а не пальцы. Любой райдер, приготовившийся посетить горную местность, должен соблюдать все меры предосторожности и иметь при себе различную техническую экипировку, элементы питания, набор первой медицинской помощи, карту и компас. Сплитбордеры доступны уже практически по всех крупных спортивных магазинах, что свидетельствует о большом спросе на эту продукцию и популярность зимних видов спорта. A big "SORRY!" to all the europeans, that allready have booked one or more sessions at SPC and as well to the guys in Russia, that planned to go there. Мы приносим свои извинения всем европейским и российским райдерам, которые уже зарегистрировались или планировали посетить летний кемп.
It's never easy to cancell something that we would have liked to pull off again with big motivation, but it's definitly better than to offer finally not a perfect product with a half finished and served snow-park. Мне было очень нелегко принять это решение и отменить кемп, который мы планировали с большим энтузиазмом, но это все же лучше, чем предложить в конце концов недостроенный и непригодный к катанию парк.
Due to the fact that we couldn't get reasonable prices for the cat work - actually the cat hours where way to high - and the situation that no major russian sponsor could be found to cover these costs, we have to call of the camp for this summer. Главной причиной отмены кемпа является высокая стоимость услуг ратраков и отсутствие спонсоров с российской стороны, которыe могли бы покрыть эти расходы.
I still believe, that it would be "the place" to be in this summer, but it makes no sence to lose money besides a lot of - allready - unpayed work. И хотя я по прежнему уверен, что это оптимальное место для катания летом, для нас не имеет смысла тратить время и деньги.
Nevertheless we from SPC will have a nice summer in the snow and on the beaches and that's what we wish you guys as well. There is plenty of places to go, shred and surf. Несмотря на это мы планируем провести это лето на снегу или на пляже и вам того же желаем! Есть так много мест, где можно покататься и отдохнуть!

SUMMER SNOW PARK CAMP June/July 2005
The summer freestyle sessions are extended one week in July, so when you have got time you stay the whole 4 weeks ( June26 - July 24), and you will pay only for 3 weeks (22 days) !!!!! Only for normal rider packages

May 20th CK: Unfortunatly we had bad weather during the week I was there (13-20 May). We used the few nice hours to measure the park terrain, set the positions for the main obstacles and started to pile snow for them. Luckily there is even more snow to work with than last summer, because the Barrel Huts are almost covered with tons of snow. Now I am back again in Innsbruck for the next 3 weeks.
 On the left handside at the beginning of the red line you can see the KingSizepark area (blue) with tiny hills from the proline. To get the right dimensions: The hiking line to the dormant volcano twin peaks from our chillarea at the Garabashi Barrel Huts to the peak is more than 8 km and starts from 3820m up to 5642m .

Gennady "Gennych" Khryachkov is the rider who knows Elbrus like his pocket content. He is as a russian Elbrus local born among Caucasians and therefor the "man with connections" on the mountain. Here he proves us his freeriding skills. This shot was on the cover of russian Vertical World, but, I think you agree with me, it's worth to be shown on TWS or Methodmag cover page. Believe me or not, but this crevasse drop location on 3650m is just 200m below our KingSizePark and the Barrel Huts chill out area. Put it's definitly not part of our SPC riding programm.

Captain Kaos: "Thanks to Gennych and Mischa. Today I experienced , what Elbrus freeriding means. We had 40cm of fresh pow and they showed me lines with countless gullys, lip drops and allover perfect rolling freeride terrain. Lucky me that the snowcat broke down before noon and we had to stop the parkwork. During our Gondola rides we kind of decided to organize SPC (snow pow camps) sessions on Elbrus during April 2005 including optionally heli trips.

2 weeks of combined Elbrus freeride & freestyle action. You can choose if you want more freeriding with Elbrus guides and Austrian certificated freeride guides or building backcountry kickers with freestyle coaches. The snow-park will be not ready in April! We offer optional helicopter sessions, when snow and weather are perfect.

 SPC and Captain Kaos are back! Те Российские райдеры и фотографы, которые побывали на SPC кэмпе в Хинтэртуксе и в Штубае много рассказывали о летнем лагере на Эльбрусе. Так год назад у меня и Георгия возникла идея сотрудничества летнего лагеря на Эльбрусе с SPC. И вот в этом году мы хотим осуществить наш проэкт. С 20 апреля по 10 июня мы с Алексеем будем планировать и строить парк. Что касается организационнных вопросов, SPC берет на себя ответственность за интернациональных райдеров, прорайдэров и фотографов. Регистрацией и размещением райдеров из России и стран СНГ будет заниматься российская команда лагеря на Эльбрусе. Зарегистрироваться на кэмп вы можете на сайте snbrd.ru Цены для российских райдеров конечно же дешевле чем для интернациональных! Итак до скорой встречи на Эльбрусе! Ваш Captain Kaos
